Gene oversees the company’s accounting operations and resources. He is responsible for financial controllership, SEC reporting and compliance, internal controls and cross-functional fiscal efficiencies.
Gene has over 25 years of accounting and financial experience. Before U.S. Silica, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Valmont Industries. From 2018 – 2022 he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of DXP Enterprises. Over his career, he has held financial positions of increasing responsibilities in Enbridge Energy, Duke Energy and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Gene is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University.
