Jay oversees operational performance, purchasing, information technology, mine planning and environmental health and safety. He helps to drive best-in-class improvements across all sites. Jay also ensures that our Core Values of safety, respect, integrity and community are alive and present each and every day.
Before U.S. Silica, Jay served as CEO, U.S. Aggregates & Construction Materials at Holcim U.S. from 2019 – 2023. Prior to Holcim U.S., Jay served in leadership position for 22 years with Martin Marietta, with his latest position being Sr. VP Operations Services where he transformed corporate functions to support commercial and operational excellence.
Jay earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Pre-Law from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He obtained his Executive Training Certificate from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
